Goosebumps 2 - It's nostalgia time
Talking about millenials as post-teenage-years people is not entirely accurate. After all, most of them are near their 30s and, in some cases, they even have kids of their own running around and asking them to go to the movies. And this, as many may have noticed, encouraged the boom of 90s movies, series and books remakes, from re-editing titles, to fresh starts of old sagas and new adaptations of classics. In this last group we can find Goosebumps, those books that captivated the early years of an entire generation with those horror-adventure short stories for early teenagers and kids.
With Jack Black as the prolific author, R.L. Stine, the first movie was a total hit that entertained those who've read the books years ago and the little ones that we discovering them for the first time alike. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween promise to keep that going bringing back the laughter, scares and nostalgia.
This new iteration won't count with the presence of Dylan Minnete -13 Reasons Why- whose character had a more-than-satisfactory conclusion at the end of the first movie. In his place, the main cast of the movie will count with Jeremy Ray Taylor -It- Caleel Harris and Madison Iseman -Jumanji-. In fact, from the first movie, only Jack Black will be reprising his role. Well, him and Slappy, the diabolical dummy, that this time will have and even more important role as the story's main antagonist .
